Teaching our kids the value of Good Character

YOU CAN TEACH YOUR KIDS GOOD CHARACTER, OR WE CAN WORK ON IT LATER….IN JAIL

Two Heads are Better Than One

Good Character 7494

I’ve been telling my two sons the same message for their entire lives: my goal for them is that they grow up to be strong, kind, solid men of good character. And anything I do or don’t do is in furtherance of that goal.

As a result, both of them (ages 12 & 13) are presently strong, kind, good boys… so far. I’m hardly naïve, and well aware that with the gift of free will, they could one day make destructive decisions which upend all my and my wife’s hard work.

But I wouldn’t bet on that happening.

Men Behind ‘Open Carry’ Demonstration in Texas Charged with Crimes Even Though What They Did Wasn’t Illegal – Here’s How Police Are Justifying It

The three men behind an “open carry” demonstration conducted outside of a San Antonio Starbucks are each facing charges of “disorderly conduct” because some observers reportedly complained about the stunt.

The group posted video of the entire demonstration, which included a disagreement with police officers, on YouTube. The men were seemingly well within their rights.

I’ve Never Killed A Jogger Because I Was Bored

THE OLD DAYS HAVE A LOT TO RECOMMEND THEM

Taking Back America

From The Daily Rant
By Dan Bubalo on August 26, 2013

Friends and I were high-energy kids and got in all the usual types of trouble that angered our parents.  We stole crabapples off neighbors’ trees, raided other yards for large apples to toss at 18-wheelers passing through that small part of town, and would all hide out in the woods to have a cigarette and hope nobody would find out.

One thing we never did, however, was go kill a jogger because we were bored.

Nobody jogged back then except a guy named Bootsie, but the point is easy to follow. It simply never crossed our minds.  What a politically inconvenient issue for the president because the recent criminal tragedies, an outright “black on white” assassination of Australian, Chris Lane,  and the ultimately selective beat down and murder of  WWII veteran, Delbert Belton,  must frustrate the racially-driven nature of…

Read the Unbelievably Hateful Letter Sent to Family with Autistic Child: ‘Do the Right Thing and Move or Euthanize Him’

WHAT IS A LIFE WORTH? PROGRESSIVES WANT TO LET MURDERERS OUT OF JAIL, BUT WILL ASK THE STATE (OR PARENTS) TO MURDER INNOCENT CHILDREN.

Taking Back America

As a parent of a child who was diagnosed with ‘mild’ autism when he was a toddler I am absolutely sickened by this article and I believe that most people would find the actions of this neighbor as reprehensible as I do.

This neighbor’s mindset is reminiscent of the ideology of Hitler’s Nazi Regime and I shudder to think of what kind of people this neighbor’s own children will grow up to be.

A shocking hate-filled letter attacking a Canadian family’s autistic child has sparked outrage in an Ontario community and beyond. The letter, sent by a cowardly anonymous neighbor, accuses the “idiot” autistic child of being a “nuisance” because of the noises he makes while playing outside.

Karla Begley, the mother of the severely autistic 13-year-old, told CityNews that she was stunned that someone could write something so hateful about…

18 Democrats sign petition telling Barack Obama he needs Congressional approval to attack Syria

WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING MEDDLING IN THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF A COUNTRY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD?

America's Watchtower

Newly minted warmongers Barack Obama, John Kerry, Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelsosi have seemingly joined forces with old school warmongers such as John McCain in urging an attack on Syria over now disputed claims that Bashar Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. They no longer seem to feel as if the United States has to pass a global test or get United Nations approval before acting on this whim, this is a stunning reversal of position after their demagoguery over the last decade or so.

I happen to agree with the notion that as a sovereign nation the United States does not need to seek United Nations approval, nor do we have to pass a global test to protect our own interests on the world stage, but there is one test that the president must pass before authorizing an attack; he must pass the Congressional test. It is just interesting…

Giving and Receiving

A SURVIVALIST PREPARES FOR HIMSELF ONLY. A PREPPER PREPARES TO SERVE OTHERS. BE A PREPPER.

Freedom Is Just Another Word...

Giving and Receiving

August 29

Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account" (Phil 4:17).

The apostle Paul had a tent-making business. However, over time, it was evident that more and more of his time was being given to vocational ministry activities. That required him to receive income from those to whom he invested his life. It became increasingly difficult to run a business and travel and minister.

His letter to the Philippians gives us a perspective on giving. Although Paul appreciated the support financially, his real joy came in the fact that their gift was being credited to their Heavenly account.

Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared…

Night Vision Techniques – Often Overlooked; Rarely Practiced

The Defensive Training Group

Originally posted 28 Aug 13.

Night Operations

Not everyone has Night Observation/Vision Devices available to them….yet. Many seem to believe that without night vision, one can’t do anything once the sun goes down and therefore, if it’s dark, whoever the opponent is with the most NVD owns the night. When discussing from the perspective of protecting the home and local neighborhood, the subject sometimes is so overwhelming that the thought of operating without NVD’s, street lights, or other forms of artificial light almost paralyzes otherwise adequately trained people.

DTG holds a different view: Low tech can, and in many cases will, overcome high tech, so long as the practicioner understands what he or she must master in order to achieve that goal.

The foundation that every other technique and tactic necessary to overcome high tech is called and gain the initiative in low light conditions is called, ‘Night Vision Techniques’.

It’s…
